Christmas 1944 was very bad, we were expecting the ‘Vega’ but she did not come until afterwards. What was in the parcels? There was powdered egg, Klim, which was powdered milk, some had chocolate, big flat breakfast biscuits, butter, tea and coffee, Spam.
