My lasting Memory of World War II is鈥t the time of VE Day I was serving on an Escort Carrier in the Pacific in the Fleet Airarm (Royal Navy). We had been acting in the Atlantic, but as the war came to a close, we were drafted to the Pacific. It was whilst we were there that we had VJ Day after the Americans had dropped the Atom Bomb. After VJ Day, we had further duties returning e-allied prisoners back home.
