The 大象传媒 asked WW2 Members to add a short anecdote on the subject of WW2 reunions.

We asked the following questions:

  • Where did the first meeting take place?
  • When did the reunion happen?
  • How did the war affect the relationship?
  • Can you imagine any other circumstances that would have made this reunion so significant?

Message 1 - Popper Family

Posted on: 10 December 2003 by kathleen Rimmer

We were friends in our school days, now 70ish,As a result of contributions to the WW2 site,it has been possible for some of us to chat via Email, and REMINISCE.
We talked about Hannah Popperova as an 5 year old she with her family escaped from Czechoslavia,I remember her telling us she was seperated from her family, she screamed so long and loud she was reunited with them, and they all made their escape ,mother father and little brother John.
After schooldays I believe Hannah became a Chemist.
Females change their names on marriage
so its more difficult to trace each other. But Max, David , Joslyn and Kathleen, would love to hear from you to reminisce.Katie Smith
