I wrote many of the Key Event pieces for this website, but it's the personal stories about war that really move me: I am constantly surprised and impressed by people's bravery, determination and irrepressable humour during such testing times.

I'd like to know more about my Great Uncle, Carl Fairless, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Artillery. He served at Dunkirk and in the Burma Campaign.
As I used to work on the site, I have taken great interest in how it has developed and although I am no longer working for the 大象传媒 I shall continue to keep an eye on what's going on.
