My Family and I were living in Egypt in 1939, but as war was imminent, we were evacuated back home to England in March 1939. We left from Port Said aboard the 'Rajputana'.

This photograph is of a portion of the First Class Dining Saloon aboard the P. & O. S.S. Rajputana - the ship we sailed home on.

The image is from a postcard that we sent on our journey home.
