Radford Care Group & Positive Horizons Reminisce Memories of Life During World War II
Welcome to Love Inner City - a special edition newsletter to celebrate the wartime memories of the Radford Care Group.
Love Inner City is a partnership project between Radford Care Group, New Deal for Communities — Radford & Hyson Green, young people from the Positive Horizons group & ´óÏó´«Ã½ Nottingham, which aimed to bridge the gap between young people and the elderly. Teenagers from the NDC area received journalism training and interviewed members of the Radford Care Group to find out how different life was during World War II (1939-1945).
As part of a national campaign the ´óÏó´«Ã½ is collecting memories about life during World War II for the Peoples War Website — www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/U3095517.
The stories collected by Positive Horizons group will be used to build a picture of what life was like in Radford and Hyson Green during the war and produce a national archive for the future.
