I was Born in Liverpool,1927. and what a lot I have seen .I remember Queen Mary and King George the 5th going down Queens Drive, and I still remember how they looked like wax Figures.
I went through the war without too many traumas,in Fact when my school,(Roscoe) was the victim of a Land mine I was quite thrilled ,Wow no more school!(was It GB Shaw who said"Youth is wasted on the young"?

I started work at 14 as a runner for Larkhll Public Library .and because of my Lack of schooling I could only stay a Year.I then went to work for the "Empire Theatre" but a better Offer came from the "Stork Hotel"where I stayed for 3 yrs until joining the Army.And that is another chapter.
