Hi all my name is John I am 40 years old and my main interest in the subject of ww11 is that at least one of my uncles died on board HMS Glorious and two others served during the war in HM naval forces one of which is still alive and reasonably well (as far as I know) he lives in Detroit USA and at 82 years young I imagine he is as well if not better than can be expected.
If anyone has any further queries about me then do ask as I would really like to know of anyone who knew other naval personnel on board HMS Glorious at the time of sinking 8th - 10th June 1940.
just realised I should maybe give my other uncles a mention on this part of my pages I would be interested in finding anyone who knew any of my uncles there is my uncle Patrick Logue now 82 years old and living in USA will be in Scotland in the next few weeks for my aunts 80th birthday so I may update this part of my story.
I also had a great uncle Robert Milliken (passed away in 1960) his sister Martha (my gran) passed away December 2000 (aged 89) she never discussed her brother or really very much about her family for that matter so his name, birth, death and one photo of him is all I have, would be very curious to know more on this great uncle as to me he is a mystery.
as far as I am aware all 3 of these uncles served in naval services and I know that my uncle Patrick served in Malta as that is where he met his wife of 50+ years her name was Elsie-Anna Cassipinte (unsure of spelling) she passed away 1999.
John...
