We are a centre based in Steyning for people over the age of 60. We run a day service on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and offer a variety of different activities and outings.
Overall we aim to help people improve the quality of their life through physical and mental stimulation. Recently one of the methods we have used to do this has been to collect memories of wartime Britain.
We also offer support to carers and run a transport scheme which allows people to get Out and About and enjoy the beautiful Sussex countryside that surrounds us. We offer support throughout the week and develop services in accordance with the needs of the people using the centre and with other older people who live in the area.
We share office space with a sister project Help at Home which aims to help people stay independent in their own homes for as long as they want, by providing practical domestic support.
We are run by a charity, Impact Initiatives,(Impact)who operate a range of different services across Sussex for children, young people and adults supporting people's health, independence and access to learning opportunities.
