Hi there,
I aws a 7yr old child in Kent when war broke out in Sept 1939.I had two brothers & a sister on active service, & a brother & sister still at home.
We three had many adventures watching the Battle of Britain take place above our heads got machine gunned on the way to school & eventually got bombed out, we never returned to Kent.I remember those days vividly,& think this site is a wonderful idea, so many amazing stories!Incidentally, we ALL survived!
