All of the following stories were collected during a People's War reminiscence event held at the Thinktank on 24 November 2004. We invited members of the Birmingham Settlement Day Centre run by Age Concern Birmingham; and members of the Birmingham Evacuees Association to come along for a tour of the Museum's City Galleries and an introduction to the Internet in our new IT suite.

For most of our 14 guests, this was the their first experience of the internet, so there was a great deal of excitement as even the youngest (in his early 70s) found out how they could add their story to the People's War website. We hope you enjoy reading their contributions.
