Hi there, my name is Ross.
I first stumbled onto this site thru my ISP Editor-at-Large's montly email. What arrested my attention was the article posted about 197 sqn. Typhoons on D-Day - Strange how things go , but I'm currently trying to track down any information on an ancestor who flew Typhoons with 198 sqn. who unfortunately crashed and died with another damaged aircraft into one of the big German Radar installations prior to D-Day [ 24 May.] I have collated some knowledge of him thru RAF & CWGC, but the wild chance there is someone still around today who may have known him , well , it's possible . I welcome anyone who was involved with 198 sqn. [or otherwise] during those turbulent days that may know something of this episode.I am a Warbird Buff, a Signartist by trade, and moving into Aviation Art as an extension of this interest.-Best Wishes to you all for Xmas 2003 & the New Year...
