Chesterton Youth and Community Centre is situated in Albert Street Chesterton, and used to be the primary school until the late 70's. The School is now used for a variety of purposes, one of which is a Cyber Cafe where members of the public can come to the computer suite and use the facilities completely free of charge. An adult tutor is available at the centre for 13 hours each week, and will help you to hone your existing skills, or introduce you to computers at a basic level, including using the Internet. The computers are all internet ready and can be used during the following hours: Monday 1pm - 5pm, Thursday 9.30am - 2.30pm, Friday noon to 4pm.
We are looking for WW2 stories from the local residents, please come along to the centre at the times mentioned above, share your stories with us and we will put them on to the 大象传媒i website for us all to share. A lot of activity took place during the war years in this area, some stories have never been told.
