Leicester City Libraries are supporting the People's War project by providing free Internet access at all our community libraries for people who wish to contribute their own memories of World War II to the website. There will also be a variety of events at libraries throughout May and June to promote the project and to help people add their stories to the site.
If you know how to use computers and have your own e-mail address you can set up your own personal page on the website where you can write your story. Other people can visit this page, read your memories and respond to them.
The People's War and Leicester:
Recollections of local people, images and recordings reflecting the Home Front. Come along and share your own memories or find out what life was like for local families during WW2.
Westcotes Library - 27 May, 2.30-4pm
People's War Workshops:
Come and try the People's War website. Browse the hundreds of stories already online or add your story for future generations to read. Don't worry if computers are not your thing, staff will be available to help.
