Don't be too cliquey with other ex-pats

We moved to a small hamlet in the Haute Vienne three years ago and have never regretted it. Our neighbours are friendly and helpful and we have fallen in with village life swopping vegetables and going to most of the soirees that are held in the nearest town. I feel that it's important to join in with everything but not to be too pushy, to use French workmen when neccessary and not to be too cliquey with other ex-pats.
