Free supermarket magazines

If you are interested in recipes free supermarket magazines in the language you're learning can be of great help to learn vocabulary. If you try a new recipe each week you unconsciously pick up new words and terms you can use in general conversation. It's also great for learning words for household equipment and as its usually written in colloquial language you can pick up lots of new idioms.

I always pick up free price lists for my students whenever I go to Italy....then they can make up their own shopping lists, practise numbers (which are so important in all kinds of situations as a tourist - getting around) and it also introduces a bit of "local colour" into what are very often drab classrooms. I try not to do it just before lunch...some of the products are too mouthwatering.
