Greek speciality?

When my mum first moved to Greece, my Dad came home from work one day and asked what was for dinner. My mum replied: pantzouria, window shutters, instead of pantzaria, beetroot casserole. To this my dad responded: Mazi me ta parathira? With the windows?

I've done the same thing myself. Talking on the phone with my mother and brother, I enthusiastically described a fantastic salata me pantzouria, salad with window shutters I had the previous day. Interestingly I couldn't figure out what I had said that made my mom and brother burst out laughing. Five minutes of hysterical laughter later, they let me know that I couldn't have possibly eaten those unless my teeth were of steel.
