Shaken not stirred
I was staying in a small hotel near Palma, Mallorca. I was a bit drunk and did not wish to be woken in the morning by the maid. However, there was no hotel sign to hang on the door, so I scrawled on a piece of paper No agitar, por favor, instead of No molestar, por favor. Which is, of course, "do not shake" and not "do not disturb". I was, of course, woken at eight in the morning by the sound of the maid laughing her head off!
