I think in the German language the word with he most consonants in a row is der AngstschweiĂź, cold sweat, or literally 'anguish sweat'.

My last name is Volkl - 4 consonants, one vowel. Folks have a lot of trouble trying to spell it.

If you're looking for a proper German word: "Angstschweiß" - sweat of fear, lit. fearsweat - is the German word with the most consonants (8) in a row.

And it pretty much sounds like what people might think of as the essence of the German language, much like a well-filled snake pit :)

In German, Borschtsch also has eight consonants in a row, although it's a Russian loanword. But you could use to create further compounds such as µþ´Ç°ù²õ³¦³ó³Ù²õ³¦³ó²õ³¦³óü²õ²õ±ð±ô etc. that'd have even more.
