The Bedaux strike

In 1931, almost 3000 Wolsey employees from hosiery factories in Leicester went on strike in protest at the Bedaux system. The Bedaux strikers were demonstrating against the imposition of a system which was designed to maximise productivity, at the cost of their earnings.
