Aberdeen's Herring Fleet

Although the fishing industry in Aberdeen was long established, its harbour having first been mentioned in 1136, up until the mid 19th Century, the industry was small compared to other centres on the north east coast, such as Buckie, Fraserburgh, Findhorn and Peterhead.
