We are delighted to return to Norwich Cathedral in a special performance recorded for broadcast on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 3. Conducted by Ashley Grote, Master of Music at Norwich Cathedral.

Ryan Wigglesworth and the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra present a feast of English music, featuring Britten’s suite from his 1953 coronation opera Gloriana, Cheryl Frances-Hoad’s new climate change-themed Cello Concerto and Elgar’s Second Symphony.

This most epic of symphonies is Mahler’s last, glorious journey, from the faltering opening to his own dance of death, the Rondo-Burleske.
