However, the carnival's founder Dr Arthur France promised to be "jammin' again" in 2021.

The Birmingham City Council area has the most coronavirus cases in England, according to new figures released by the Department for Health. (London's cases are calculated borough by borough, rather than as a single figure.)
The city has 428 confirmed cases of Covid-19 - only the Aneurin Bevan health board area in Wales has more, with 482 cases. Hampshire (384), Glasgow and Clyde (376) and Sheffield (361) make up the rest of the top five across the UK.
London now has 5,299 cases with only the boroughs of Kingston-upon-Thames (66), Sutton (82), Richmond-upon-Thames (83) and Barking and Dagenham (93) having fewer than 100 cases.
More than 1,000 people are now known to have died from coronavirus in Britain.

A driver who was stopped by police in the early hours claimed he was collecting a friend from the 鈥渦niversity in Whitby鈥, officers said.
The town is famous for its links to Dracula and its abbey overlooking the bay, but as far as North Yorkshire Police is aware there is no university there.
The force, which has stepped up patrols in a bid to stop people travelling to the county during the coronavirus lockdown, said the driver failed a drugs test and was arrested.
