Chris Lyttle, Alliance, has retained his East Belfast seat. He says the party has been given a strong mandate in the Assembly.聽
He says the party has a "really mobilised membership" and has the potential to grow outside their strongholds.

"The first to get over the line in East Londonderry is incredible, the increase of nearly 1,600 votes in my first preference since last year is so wonderful."
