What is storytelling?
Storytelling is a direct communication with an audience and conveys the story by sound and by body language and is always responding and adjusting to audience reactions.
听
If you're nervous?
Imagine your two best friends are in the audience and you are talking only to them... Relax!
听
What if it goes wrong?
If you forget a bit, don't panic. Just laugh if off and add, 'well before that, this happened' and add the bit you forgot.
听
Making a story come alive...
Have some good noises to make in the story, like growls, or snores, or wind howling. It's fun doing the sounds and it gives you time to think about what you need to say next.
听
Getting started
Know your first line and say it dead confidently. That will get you the audience's respect!
