Opened
in 1991, the Children's Hospice is in the pleasant grounds
of a former Carmelite monastery in the village of Quidenham in Norfolk.
A former coach house, the hospice has been converted to provide
a brightly coloured, home- from-home environment.
It offers respite care and support to children who have life- threatening
or life-limiting conditions and their families.
The facilities at Quidenham include family accommodation, a sensory
room and garden, a schoolroom and specially adapted outside play
areas.
The unit is now part of East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
