Factual
Country
Life
Drugs, drink, crime, homelessness and anti-social behaviour
聳 rural life can be fraught with the same problems as the inner
cities.
From the team who produced the critically acclaimed
大象传媒 THREE series Towerblock Dreams, Country Life tells the stories of
the young, rural and dispossessed who have given up caring.
In conflict with the values of the community around
them, with nothing to do and few opportunities or prospects, they feel
marginalised from society.
By focusing on a number of personal stories, the series
highlights issues that affect the country but are rarely acknowledged
as doing so.
What emerges is a picture of country life at odds with
the rural idyll many imagine.
A RAW TV production.

A Bullet

been deported back to El Salvador 聳 taking their gang structures
back to their homeland.
The capital, San Salvador, is now one of the most dangerous
cities in the world as rival gangs are engaged in a war for power and
control.
This series follows a group of gang members as they
fight their mortal enemies and seek out a living on the streets by selling
drugs and thieving.

Teen Angels
Having successfully tackled troublesome toddlers in
Little Angels, Dr Tanya Byron and Dr Stephen
Briers devise effective techniques for those who are arguably
the most awkward and challenging of the species 聳 the hormone ridden,
truculent, confused human beings that are teenagers.
In Teen Angels the two expert clinical psychologists
try to help families and their teenagers by offering objective insights
into their interactions and suggesting new 聳 more constructive
聳 modes of behaviour for the whole family.
The challenge is to see whether, with professional advice,
potentially explosive family situations can be turned around.
It's a learning experience for all as they analyse their
own actions to find out what is providing the trigger for trouble.

Midwives
- The Laughter And The Tears
From teenage mums to the ladies who are just too posh
to push, the miracle of life is explored from the perspective of those
who must deliver it in a series which follows midwives in their work
at Derby City Hospital.
Working life is a never-ending ride on an emotional
rollercoaster for those involved in dealing every day with the highs
and lows, joys and sorrows, of giving birth.
The midwives must handle everything from difficult births
to drug addicted mothers, in what can be both the most rewarding and
heartbreaking of professions.
Following the experiences of both mothers and midwives,
the series gives a fascinating insight into childbirth and chronicles
the work of the extraordinary women who handle new life, and sometimes
death, as part of their everyday lives.

End Day
End Day investigates five possible scenarios for apocalypse,
which have all been predicted by scientists, and uses stunning special
effects to dramatise what each scenario would mean for civilisation.
In the scenarios a mega-tsunami (tidal wave) strikes
New York; a dead comet annihilates Berlin; a super volcano devastates
the US; Britain falls victim to a deadly virus; and finally, in an attempt
to recreate a black hole, scientists destroy the Earth.
Each possible Armageddon is seen through the eyes of
a man experiencing a 'groundhog day' as he relives his day five times,
each time attempting to travel to New York with his journey disrupted
by the catastrophe.

3 Investigates
This topical series of investigations delves into institutions,
companies and high profile figures to expose serious wrong doing.
Using undercover researchers, whistleblowers and rigorous
journalism the programmes pose difficult questions to people in power.
The current affairs team behind the series have already
produced investigations into the mobile phone industry and Manchester
United's business dealings with Sir Alex Ferguson's football agent son.
In the new series, the programme goes beyond the political
rhetoric and press sensationalism that surrounds the thorny issue of
asylum, charts the story of the attempted coup in Equatorial Guinea
and, with the introduction of Super Casinos in the UK, examines the
murkier side of the gambling world.
