大象传媒 FOUR - Winter highlights 2005

International cinema

大象传媒 FOUR World Cinema Award

To celebrate the wealth of contemporary, international film-making and 大象传媒 FOUR's commitment to international cinema, the channel presents the second 聳 now annual 聳 大象传媒 FOUR World Cinema Award, hosted by Jonathan Ross.

From a shortlist of nominations, voted for by the public, critics and exhibitors from across the UK, one film will win this prestigious title.

It is the job of an informed and passionate jury - representing a cross-section of the film industry, from critics to actors and directors - to debate and select the winner.

Last year, the jury voted for first-time director Sylvain Chomet's Belleville Rendez-vous, an inventive animation about a young cyclist who is kidnapped during the Tour de France.

In the run-up to the event there will be UK-wide theatrical screenings of the nominated films plus a special edition of The DVD Collection devoted to the Award.
