Blue/Orange
Joe Penhall's award-winning stage play, Blue/Orange, is adapted
for the small screen and examines the issues of race, mental illness
and the power struggles at the heart of the National Health Service.
Set in a psychiatric hospital, a consultant and his young registrar
argue over the troubled mind of a young, black patient.
Christopher, who is due for release from hospital, believes he is the
son of an African dictator.
Bruce, his doctor, is anxious to keep him in for further observation
but Bruce's superior, Robert, believes that Christopher should be released
the next day in accordance with his 28-day confinement notice.
Brian Cox stars as Robert, John Simm
as Bruce and Shaun Parkes as Christopher in this powerful
play.

Don't Watch That Watch
This (working title)
In a world where virtually everything and everyone is constantly caught
on camera, Don't Watch That Watch This unleashes its own take on reality.
The writers behind Bremner, Bird And Fortune bring this topical, news-based
satire to 大象传媒 FOUR, proving that whatever anyone says can be subverted
and manipulated.
Don't Watch That Watch This combines archive material with original
footage, manipulating the real world to shine a light on the back stories,
the truth and the near truth.
Born out of a whole new generation of visual forms, including downloads,
web cams and CCTV, this is a post-production show with 1,001 tricks
up its sleeve.
A news crew filming a real event engages in idle chatter. Their running
commentary may be of far more interest than the event itself - it's
a world of gallery talkback where what wasn't meant to be heard is far
more revealing than anything scripted.
Overdubbing, re-syncing and judicious editing offer a unique vision
of the world the way it is.
A Vera production.
