Children in Need 2008: MasterChef meets Southern Counties Radio
|
Pudsey will be donning his chef's whites for this year's 大象传媒 Children in Need appeal as three 大象传媒 Southern Counties Radio presenters go head to head to "Do Something Different".
听
Presenters Neil Pringle, Allison Ferns and Sid Sloane have been busy sharpening up their culinary skills as they prepare to take part in the 大象传媒 Southern Counties MasterChef competition, taking place in the University of Brighton's Culinary Arts Studio in Eastbourne on 大象传媒 Children in Need Day on Friday 14 November.
听
With a budget of just 拢30 the trio will have only two hours to prepare a three-course meal, under the watchful gaze of a former 大象传媒 MasterChef winner.
听
The heat will be on as live reports of their efforts will be broadcast during the Gordon Astley mid-morning programme.
听
The 大象传媒 SCR MasterChefs will be judged by MasterChef 2006 Peter Bayless; TV chef Momma Cherri from Brighton whose restaurant was featured on Gordon Ramsay's Channel 4 programme; and Ken Woodward, Senior Lecturer in Catering at the University of Brighton.
听
Early morning presenter Joe Talbot will keep listeners up to date during Gordon's show and the winner will be announced just before 1.00pm.

Notes to Editors
听
大象传媒 Children in Need positively changes the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
听
The theme of this year's Children in Need Appeal is "Do Something Different" and the charity is asking people to take up the challenge and help thousands more young people, here in the UK, who need help.
听
Doing Something Different doesn't mean anything difficult, expensive or scary; it just means something outside of your normal routine which will help raise money.
听
There are lots of fun, silly and unusual ideas in the 大象传媒听Children in Need Fundraising Pack.
