Children in Need 2008: Radio Berkshire put on their dancing shoes for Pudsey

大象传媒 Radio Berkshire is challenging the county to jump to the beat and do something different for this year's 大象传媒 Children in Need with Strictly...Your Turn.
听
In the spirit of Strictly Come Dancing, the station is hosting four charity dance nights across Berkshire in the week up to Children in Need day on Friday 14 November in Thatcham, Reading, Slough and Bracknell.
听
From ballroom to jive there's something for everyone with 大象传媒 Children in Need Strictly...Your Turn.
听
For a minimum donation of just 拢5 大象传媒 Berkshire listeners will be able to make their Strictly Come Dancing dreams come true as they join some of the station's presenters to learn all the right moves from professional dance teachers.
听
And there's even a chance to be in the spotlight as Phil Kennedy broadcasts his drivetime show live from Tuesday's class in Reading.
听
Already a ballroom dancer, Phil will be doing a turn with the County School of Dancing, showing off his fancy footwork to help raise money for 大象传媒 Children in Need.
听
These events are by ticket only and require a 拢5 minimum donation, with all monies going to 大象传媒 Children in Need.

Monday 10 November: Thatcham Catholic Hall, 7.30-11.00pm, jive

Join the breakfast show's Tadley Princess Sarah Walker and newsreader Tara Maxwell as they learn to up and downs of modern jive with Ginger Jive.
听
Tuesday 11 November: St Giles Hall, Reading, 6.00-8.00pm, ballroom dancing (outside broadcast)
听
Join Phil Kennedy, sports presenter Andy Stevenson, Linda Serck from The Session, Susanne Courtney from Breakfast and newsreader Sam Gudger as they polish up their waltzes for the Ballroom Dancing night with the County School of Dance.

Wednesday 12 November: West Wing Arts Centre, Slough, 6.00-8.00pm, tango
听
Thames Valley Tango will be showing sports presenter Graham McKechnie, newsreader Tara Maxwell and 大象传媒 Berkshire's Sunday evening presenter Louise Chandler the romance and drama of the Argentine tango.
听
Thursday 13 November: Bracknell Leisure Centre, 7.30pm-11.00pm, jive
听
Clare Catford, Sunday morning presenter, and newsreaders Katie Williams and Tara Maxwell will be jiving with Ginger Jive.

大象传媒 Children in Need positively changes the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

This theme of this year's 大象传媒 Children in Need Appeal is "Do Something Different" and the charity is asking people to take up the challenge and help thousands more young people, here in the UK, who need help.

Doing Something Different doesn't mean anything difficult, expensive or scary; it just means something outside of your normal routine which will help raise money.
