8 stars who have struggled with exhaustion
Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic opens up about his mental health
The singer and songwriter says life on the road nearly led to a nervous breakdown.
It doesn't matter if you go to college, work in a shop or are one of the biggest stars in the world; exhaustion can affect anyone.
There are a number of different causes of exhaustion and it can be related to more serious health problems.
But most of the time, it strikes when someone has taken on too much and hasn't made enough time to rest.
These eight stars have all struggled with exhaustion. Here's what happened to them.
Ryan Tedder
Ryan Tedder is one of the most in-demand songwriters in the world as well as fronting hugely successful band OneRepublic - and he admits the pressure of living such a life has become too much for him.
He posted to OneRepublic fans, explaining why the band haven't been promoting their current album, Oh My My, and it's all down to his mental health.
"About 3-4 weeks into the promo for the 2nd single 'Kids' I hit a physical, emotional, psychological wall," he wrote.
"I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, not sleeping, on meds, not happy, anxiety on a crippling level and it was triggered from sheer exhaustion."
He says he was on the verge of quitting music, but his label and management agreed to pull the plug on all the promotion for the album.
He's back on top form now and the band have dropped a brand new single, No Vacancy.

The Stranger Things star cancelled an appearance due to health concerns.
Millie Bobby Brown is probably one of the most famous 13 year olds in the world. She's new to the fame game and has learned how tough it can be.
She was forced to cancel an appearance at Collective Con in Florida in March 2017 because she was exhausted from her work schedule.
Millie posted a video on Instagram (which she has since deleted) to let fans know she wouldn't be able to attend.
"I just think I've worked too hard and I have to rest, as I've had a really long shoot and I'm still filming Stranger Things," she said in the video.
"I'm sorry to everyone who's going and I promise you guys I'm going to get back to you."
Kanye West
Kanye West was forced to cancel a string of live shows in November 2016 when he began struggling with exhaustion during his Saint Pablo tour.
US website TMZ reported that Kanye was hospitalised suffering from "temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration" and spent a week recovering.
His actions during his performances had hit the headlines and raised concern for his wellbeing in the weeks before he quit the tour.
Rita Ora
In June 2016 Rita Ora shared a photo of herself on Twitter, hooked up to a drip in a hospital bed.
She was suffering from exhaustion after partying too hard on top of a gruelling work schedule. She had spent two days at Glastonbury Festival before a two-day shoot in London, on top of filming her scenes for cinema rompathon, 50 Shades Darker.
She was back to fine form in no time after a little bit of rest and relaxation.
Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was hit with severe exhaustion in 2016, which led to her suffering from serious health issues.
"When I think back to my tiredness, my slump, not wanting to exercise and not being interested in anything. It wasn't depression, it was just my body giving up," Ellie told Stylist magazine.
"I'd have panic attacks and, to me, they felt like I was dying of a heart attack."
"It's a very hot, burning feeling, like your heart is racing uncontrollably which is extra scary for me because I actually have a heart defect."
She has also admitted to struggling with anxiety issues.
Kendall Jenner
2015 was a huge year for Kendall Jenner, as she became one of the most sought-after models in the world, but being in such high demand came at a cost.
She was hospitalised in January 2016 due to an intense 12 months and told fans about her health worries via her app.
"I just got so tired from work and life and everything that it freaked me out at the end of this year," she wrote.
"I actually had to go to the hospital because I was so exhausted - it was definitely the wake-up call that I needed to take better care of myself."
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga puts 100% into everything she does and her work ethic caught up with her in 2010 when she was forced to cancel and postpone a number of US shows.
Gaga was rushed to hospital in Indiana due to "exhaustion and dehydration" despite making it to the concert venue in the hope of performing.
She explained to fans on Twitter why she had been forced to cancel the show.
"My stage has complicated mechanical elements, everyone was concerned I'd be in danger during the 2hr show, since I had passed out earlier. I am so devastated," she added.
"I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort."
Lukas Graham
Danish band Lukas Graham shot to fame in 2015 with their hit single, 7 Years, but the pressures of success became too much for frontman Lukas.
The band were forced to cancel their first ever live dates in Australia in 2016 when he was diagnosed with exhaustion.
"Lukas is suffering with extreme exhaustion and is unable to perform the shows," said a note from an Australian tour promoter.
He had hinted at his struggles on Twitter.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez has struggled with lupus, a disease where the body's immune system will attack healthy parts of the body.
But in 2016 she also faced exhaustion issues and was forced to postpone a show in California after being taken to hospital suffering from nausea and a severe headache.
"I was just very malnourished, so I was low on iron and exhausted," she told reporters when she performed a rescheduled date.
