What we want to know when Harry Styles is interviewed on Radio 1

This is not a drill, this is actually happening.

Not only is Harry Styles dropping new music, his debut solo single Sign Of The Times, on Friday 7 April 2017, he'll also be chatting with Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1 about what he's been up to since One Direction went on hiatus in January 2016.

We have so many questions about the world of Mr Styles during his absence from our lives and many gaps that need filling in. Here are 8 major issues we hope are addressed in the interview.

What he's been doing for so long

One Direction went on 'hiatus' more than a year ago and since then, Harry has stayed out of the spotlight. He has only posted a handful of Instagram photos in that time, so we really don't know what he's been up to - apart from recording his first ever solo album, of course.

We do know he's been filming the movie Dunkirk and by all accounts, absolutely smashed his first major acting role.

Whether he reckons he'll win an Oscar for Dunkirk

(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)

You know, a Best Supporting Actor nomination isn't out of the question. Already, Oscar winner (and Dunkirk co-star) Mark Rylance has praised Harry's performance in the film, saying his acting talents are "a gift".

"He’s been ever so brave, not making any fuss," said Mark at the BFG premiere in London in 2016.

"He seems remarkable, one of those people [who has] — Sean Penn has it too — a kind of panache.

"I look at them and think, 'How did you get that? How do you get so that life is easy?'

"But he has got a lovely, lovely character. It’s a gift."

What we can expect from his debut album

We know Harry has been working with Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid (who also wrote a little song by called Shape Of You) and Ryan Tedder (from OneRepublic) and potentially Bruno Mars but that's about it.

What does it sound like? When will it be released? Who else is on the record? Will every copy come with a lock of his now-short hair? We need the answers and we need that hair.

What those white squares on Instagram are all about

We struggle to get our Instagram likes into double figures but when Harry posted three white squares just ahead of announcing his solo music, each one picked up more than 700,000 likes.

We want to know A. What they mean and B. How to up our Instagram game.

How often he chats to the other 1D boys

1D took a break from their work together in January 2016 and the boys haven't really been seen together since.

We know Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne teamed up to write a new track called , but what about the rest of the boys? Do they meet in secret for fancy dinners? Is there a 1D Whatsapp group? Do they all meet at Harry's to play Fifa?

Please put us out of our misery and tell us you're all still BFFs.

What he thinks about Zayn, Niall and Louis's solo tunes

Harry will be the fourth One Direction boy to drop solo music. Already former 1D member Zayn has made major waves with his solo music, Niall has scored a huge hit with his solo single and Louis teamed up with Steve Aoki to record a massive club banger.

With Harry's collaborators, he's headed in a slightly rockier direction, but we'd be keen to hear his thoughts on the 1D boys who have gone before him.

When he's going to perform live for the first time

We know we're getting the single on 7 April (*squeal*) but what about a live show?

Don't want to get pushy, but we've been living with seeing Harry at regular intervals for 15 months, so we're hoping to see that face and hear that voice on our screens pretty soon.
