大象传媒 Introducing at Independent Venue Week 2024
Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens have announced 6 Music’s plans to celebrate Independent Venue Week 2024 - the UK’s annual, seven-day celebration of venues and the people that own, run and work in them.
From Monday 29th January - Friday 2nd February, 6 Music once again takes the tour bus around the UK, with Steve and Huw broadcasting their 4-7pm shows from a different independent venue each day. We have collaborated with 6 Music to bring you a line up where 8 out of the 10 artists have been championed by their local Introducing shows, and 6 Music will be bringing listeners performances from all these locations by artists including Ash, 86TVs, NewDad, English Teacher and Antony Szmierek.
All programmes will be available to listen to live on 大象传媒 Sounds and for 30 days after their broadcast on 大象传媒 Radio 6 Music.
Here is the full line up:
- Monday 29th Jan – Ash and Problem Patterns play the Oh Yeah Centre in Belfast (Steve Lamacq)
- Tuesday 30th Jan – 86TVs and Grace & The Flat Boys play Whistle Binkies in Edinburgh (Huw Stephens)
- Wednesday 31st Jan - NewDad and Kindelan play York’s Fulford Arms (Huw Stephens)
- Thursday 1st Feb – English Teacher and Jodie Langford play Hull Polar Bear Music Club (Huw Stephens)
- Friday 2nd Feb - Antony Szmierek and Picture Parlour play the Rockin’ Chair in Wrexham (Huw Stephens)
