Hani Khan worked for the Hollister store owned by Abercrombie and Fitch but she is now suing the company because they sacked her for refusing to remove her Hijab while working.
She was interviewed and employed by the company wearing the Hijab but when a district manager came round he said she had to remove it. When she refused she was suspended and then sacked.
What do you think? Abercrombie has policy about how it expects its employees to look. It pretty much expects its staff to dress and look like models. If you don't fit in, you're out. Is there anything wrong with that?
If an Asian chef refused to handle Beef or Pork should he lose his job? What about a Muslim working where alcohol was served? No-one is asking you to eat the beef or drink the booze? Can you separate faith from work?

With wedding season if full swing this is a common case with so many people, but is it quite selfish for couples to expect friends and family to travel to another country for a wedding?
