Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. Continuing our alphabetical look at the list, we hear 'Let's Have A Party' by Wanda Jackson and in tribute to Motown bass player James Jamerson, 'Bernadette' by the Four Tops. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1953 of Robin Zander of Cheap Trick by playing the band's US number one 'The Flame'. Paul pays tribute to David Bowie by featuring his first American number one 'Fame'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'Misery' by The Beatles and a different song with the same title by Maroon 5.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a song from a UK artist's biggest-selling album in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by Peter Frampton and Hot Chocolate. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by the Mindbenders and Madonna.

Our R&B number ones are from 1987 and now by Luther Vandross and Tyrese. We hear Country number ones from 1976 and this week by C.W. McCall and Thomas Rhett. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by Seether and Twenty One Pilots. The number one album, for a seventh week, is '25' by Adele and 'Love Yourself' by Justin Bieber is the best-selling song of the week.
