Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. Continuing our alphabetical look at the list, we hear 'Dust My Broom' by Elmore James and 'At Last' by Etta James. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1942 of Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship by playing the band's US number three hit 'Miracles'. Paul pays tribute to Glenn Frey of the Eagles by featuring a song co-written and sung by him, 'Lyin' Eyes'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'Diamonds And Pearls' by doo-wop group The Paradons and a different song with the same title by Prince.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a song from a UK artist's biggest-selling album in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by Matt Monro and Genesis. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by the Partridge Family and Jesus Jones.

Our R&B number ones are from 1965 and now by The Temptations and Tyrese. We hear Country number ones from 1964 and this week by Buck Owens and Thomas Rhett. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by Lorde and Twenty One Pilots. The number one album is 'Blackstar' by David Bowie and 'Love Yourself' by Justin Bieber is the best-selling song of the week.
