The Lion King's Shaun Escoffery is the Rewind Selector!

Two happy hours of feel-good dance floor fillers! Shaun Escoffery, Mufasa in The Lion King, chooses the tracks that take him back to his youth in 'Rewind Selector'.

DJ Spoony serves up tunes from the 70s to the present day, from soulful house to lyrical garage, and rhythmical RnB to awe-inspiring remixes. It's all killer and no filler with big dollops of nostalgia to make you smile. Our genial host also unveils his 鈥楴ew 2 Spoon鈥� which is a minty-fresh track that has caught his ears in the week.

Spoony also has two very special mixes to book-end the show. Kicking off with 'The Good Groove 90s Party Mix' and finishing proceedings with 'The Good Groove Deeper Cuts Mix', that will make you want to push back the sofa and dance!

Also, British soul singer and actor Shaun Escoffery chooses the tracks that take him back as he shares his early clubbing tales in 'Rewind Selector'. Shaun's first major single, 'Space Rider' in 2001, was championed by Spoony and The Dreem Teem at the time. He has released six critically acclaimed albums and has performed all over the world, supporting artists such as Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Angie Stone, Berry Gordy and Beverley Knight, to name a few. His West End credits include Les Mis茅rables, Smokey Joe's Caf茅, and Tommy, and in 2008, Shaun started to play the role of Mufasa in The Lion King at London's Lyceum theatre. It's a role that he inhabits today.

This November, Radio 2 presents a special Gala performance of The Lion King for Children In Need. The award-winning stage musical version of the beloved Disney film will be hosted by Scott Mills on the afternoon of Sunday the 10th of November.
