Bluebell legends
There is always time to look at flowers. The British bluebell wood is almost a clich, but is very magical. Legend has it that bluebells are fairy flowers, and like most fairy things there is a sinister side to them. A country saying is that if a child wanders alone into a bluebell wood and picks a flower, it will never be seen again. If an adult picks a bluebell they will be lead around by a pixie for ever and ever unless rescued. Bill thinks it is worth the risk as he'd love to see a pixie! Bluebells aren't the most elaborate of blooms, but en masse they are fantastic. A tip for viewing them - go down to their level to get the best effect.
