Monty Don prunes shrub rose, Rosa ‘Complicata’
Monty Don’s Dry Garden was originally a stony yard, it’s south facing and the soil is shallow and poor. This part of the garden does not come into its fullness until early summer; it is filled with aromatic Mediterranean shrubby plants, phlomis, sage and rosemary and herbaceous, acanthus and cardoons. At the moment it is relatively bare giving Monty easy and timely access to prune his shrub rose, Rosa 'Complicata'.
