The Chief Executive of the RBS Group, Stephen Hester, has said that no customer will be left out of pocket following technical problems after an upgrade of the banks systems last week. Financial analysts say RBS, which is 80% state-owned, potentially faces an overtime and compensation bill running into hundreds of millions of pounds after its customers were left unable to access their money. The Financial Services Ombudsman has advised people to keep a record of how they have been affected.
