Magazine cover design (pt 1/2)
Luke Hyam meets up with the editor of 'J17' and follows the creation of a cover for the magazine. The clip opens with a brief introduction to the layout, purpose and look of a cover and the way that different covers work through their selection of text, language and imagery. A brief analysis of the reader profile is provided. The investigation goes on to the design of the cover and the selection of the model, the taking of the photographs and the selection of the image. Finally, digital enhancement of the image is shown.
