Real life time problem - calculating hours, minutes and seconds (signed)
A real life time problem set in the context of a zoo. Some children are given a problem to solve - if the zoo keeper is at work between 8 o'clock am and 6 o'clock pm, how many seconds does he work each day? The children will need to work out how to approach the problem and discuss any known time facts. Clues are given to help the children work through the problem and the method and answer are presented at the end.
