Paul Coia talks about the gods depicted on a wooden cross. An image of Jesus is surrounded by carvings of Viking gods and monsters. Viking gods were thought to inhabit a place called Asgard. Odin, the all-knowing god of war and wisdom, was the most important. Thor was perhaps the best loved of the Viking gods and many myths were told about him.
