Through the magic of time travel, Eon Straddler takes us on a journey which marks the key moments in the development of the trumpet from 6,000 BC to the present day. The history focuses on six specific historical periods in which there were significant moments in the trumpet's development, beginning with blowing into a conch as an early form of communication to the trumpet as we know it today.

Visiting each historical period, we hear clear and detailed explanations. With each period we are entertained by short, precise musical extracts which highlight these key aspects. Close-ups provide the young viewer with visual as well as audio references.
