A report on Madrid - the buildings, food and flamenco
On a visit to the Spanish capital Madrid, the presenter describes the many interesting things to see and highlights three 'must do' experiences: beautiful buildings, food and flamenco. Watching his report, students learn how The Prado Museum is home to the Spanish Royal Art Collection and that Madrid is full of interesting buildings, some steeped in history and others ultra-modern. The presenter explains the popularity of tapas, which are small savoury dishes of Spanish origin, and how a rhythmic dancing made up of clapping and stamping, known as flamenco, was started by Andaluc铆an gypsies.
