Sessions

This month, we returned to Ross-on-Wye to showcase some of our favourite acts right now, recording for broadcast at John Kyrle High School.

The music department has undergone a series of changes in the last four years - and it's now home to a complex of high-end recording studios and state-of-the-art equipment.

Our next group we discovered playing at , near Pershore, a few years back.

They met in 2008 when they were aged just 8, 10 and 10.

In 2011, they won the W Factor competition and the following year were semi-finalists in a national music competition.

Still in their early teens, tonight we hear the Sedgeberrow group Maxed Out with their live 大象传媒 session.

Recently they've decided to dedicate all of their earnings to Cancer Research UK - and that tour continues throughout May.

Meet The Musicians

Meet The Musicians

大象传媒 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest festivals.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 28 April at and features the four acts we plan to broadcast throughout May.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led them to receiving airplay on 大象传媒 Hereford & Worcester.

Doors open at 6pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 9pm.

Meanwhile, if you're a venue or promoter, and would like to be featured in a future recording session please get in touch.

Put away that iPod, abandon that app and relegate that CD to the shelf - we're celebrating vinyl today.

It's National Record Store day with events being held all over the UK.

One record shop taking part is Rise Music in Worcester - we'll hear from Kevin Rant and some of his customers who听remember the first听track they ever bought.

It's free entry this weekend to more than 200 National Trust properties across the country.

But why travel far and wide when we've got many of our own right here in Herefordshire & Worcestershire?

One of them is Croome Court near Upton-upon-Severn who'll compliment your tour in a rather interesting musical way.

The sounds you'll hear in your headphones as you wander round have been composed by Andy Garbi - who's spent three years composing the works.
