This month, we returned to Ross-on-Wye to showcase some of our favourite acts right now, recording for broadcast at John Kyrle High School.

The music department has undergone a series of changes in the last four years - and it's now home to a complex of high-end recording studios and state-of-the-art equipment.

She's been playing music from an early age and more recently has started taking her compositions out on-the-road - and tonight we hear from Hereford singer/songwriter Jennifer Booton.

Last year she landed her first high profile gig at the Bromyard Folk Festival, after gracing the open mic stages across the area - and this year she's already been booked for Nozstock.

When she's not making music, Jennifer can be found at the Courtyard in Hereford as their press and marketing officer - the Courtyard being the place where Ellie Goulding held her first ever job!

Meet The Musicians

Meet The Musicians

大象传媒 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest festivals.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 28 April at and features the four acts we plan to broadcast throughout May.

Acts on the line-up are Paper Dreams, Rachel Bedford, Khaos Theory plus Virgil & The Accelerators.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led them to receiving airplay on 大象传媒 Hereford & Worcester.

Doors open at 6pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 9pm.

Meanwhile, if you're a venue or promoter, and would like to be featured in a future recording session please get in touch.

Interviews

Interviews

Every week, we're championing new acts - artists who previously haven't ever been played on radio, people who have never done a gig - and musicians who've never sold a record in their life.

But - just how do they get to that stage - where you CAN send your music into radio, upload your tracks to the internet and perform a variety of shows?

These last few weeks here on 大象传媒 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester, we've showcased acts recorded at the new recording facilities at John Kyrle High School in Ross.

So tonight, we'll hear from the music department about the rising stars from the area - and the people at Rock On Music Studios in Hereford, a new venture set up by a number of band members from local groups.
