Festivals
Throughout the whole of this month, we're bringing you the acts we chose to play at this year's Droitwich Music & Arts Festival.

It's a decade since this event began - and this year there's music on various stages throughout the town, in the shopping centres and at the Norbury Theatre.

In former years, this has also coincided with the Droitwich Water Festival.

This is the 10th anniversary of the event - and it

Joe Vowles got in touch from Orleton near Leominster - and said the following words: "I was diagnosed at the age of seven with musician.

"I have been prescribed guitar and have been playing for 12 years.

"This music I am uploading is music I have written and recorded in my bedroom."

As well as his solo material, he's been playing covers in a band from Knighton called Kaytown (K for Knighton!).

They've finally decided to ditch the covers - so you'll hear the fruits of their labour, as chosen by 大象传媒 Hereford & Worcester at the Droitwich Music Festival on this week's show!

Meet The Musicians

Meet The Musicians

大象传媒 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from our area.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest festivals.

Our next recording session takes place next Sunday 28 July at Nozstock: The Hidden Valley at Rowden Paddocks near Bromyard and features the five acts we plan to broadcast throughout August.

Acts we've chosen to appear at the festival are Bekki Cameron (Much Dewchurch), Puffin Ethics (Hereford), Georgina Upton (Kidderminster), Scarlette (Redditch) and Goldman (Whitchurch nr Ross-on-Wye).

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded - which led them to receiving airplay on 大象传媒 Hereford & Worcester.

Meanwhile, if you're a venue or promoter, and would like to be featured in a future recording session please
get in touch.

Wizzafest

Andy O'Hare will be there covering the event for 大象传媒 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester.

Nozstock

Nozstock

With only a week to go, preparations are well underway for the biggest music festival in the two counties.

Nozstock 2013 promises to attract a record crowd again this year - around 7,000 people - and it all started as a family BBQ back in 1998.

The logistical process is enormous with miles of security fencing to put up,听nine stages to build and great lengths of roadway to prepare plus nearly 70 people employed in the build up to the big weekend.

Our reporter Julie Tyler has been out on site with the Nosworthy family.
