3000-year-old Egyptian coffin lid found in Essex house
An auctioneer was left "speechless" when he discovered an almost 3000-year-old Egyptian coffin lid in the wall of an Essex house.
The relic, which is thought to date back to around 700 BC, was discovered when the house was being refurbished.
Willingham's Auctioneer Stephen Drake, who made the discovery, said: "It was jaw dropping really, walking in and seeing that just leaning up against the wall!"
It is expected to fetch thousands of pounds at auction next month.
